Roberto Magno, CPA
Roberto founded CastleArch Property Advisors with over 15 years of real estate investment, brokerage and advisory experience. Prior to starting CastleArch, Roberto was a broker on the downtown team at Lincoln Property Company – one of the country’s largest, privately held real estate companies – where he was involved in over 200 sale and lease transactions, aggregating over 1 million square feet of space. As a former practicing CPA, Roberto began his career with the real estate practice at Ernst & Young, working on various audit and consulting assignments for local owners and operators, as well as national and international investment advisors. Roberto later joined the acquisition team at New Boston Fund, where he was directly involved in the origination, underwriting, due diligence and closing of over $200 million in commercial real estate property acquisitions.
Additionally, as co-founder of CastleArch Partners, LLC, Roberto has been an active hands-on property investor and developer since 2001. Along with his partners and other investors, Roberto has personally acquired, renovated and sold over $25 million in residential investment properties throughout Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He also regularly invests in syndicated opportunities of institutional quality office, retail and multi-family properties throughout the region.
Roberto holds a BS in Accountancy from Bentley University, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York state. He is a member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and is a licensed broker in Massachusetts.
Sergio Magno, CPA
Sergio has over 25 years of professional services and commercial real estate investment experience, pairing a financial background with a breadth of transactional experience across multiple industries and asset classes. He brings a unique combination of client service, analytical skills and business acumen in evaluating the business needs of his clients. Sergio’s experience spans financial/accounting consulting, merger & acquisition transaction due diligence and real estate investment management. He has worked with clients across industries including financial and corporate buyers, developers and private equity investment firms.
Prior to joining CAPA, Sergio served in a hybrid business development and asset management role at a boutique commercial real estate firm where he participated in the syndication of over $80 million of direct real estate transactions across a diverse set of property types including multi-family residential, office, retail and mixed-use assets. In addition to leading acquisition due diligence and underwriting efforts, working with lenders to secure financing and supporting investor relations efforts, Sergio also was also responsible for post-investment asset and property management, leasing and general investment oversight and strategic planning across the property portfolio. Sergio managed capital improvement projects ranging from $500,000 to $3 million.
Previously, Sergio spent over 10 years at KPMG advising corporate and financial buyers on M&A and restructuring transactions, including financial and operational due diligence, transaction structuring and integration planning. These transactions ranged from $50 million to $2 billion in deal value. Earlier in his career Sergio held investment analyst roles with a fund-of-funds and mid-stage venture capital investment manager.
Sergio holds a BS in Accountancy from Bentley University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA – inactive) in Massachusetts and New York and is a licensed real estate salesperson in MA.
